The Cheeky Backheel Podcast, Episode 20

Good news boys and girls, Ryan made it out of the woods free of any bear-related injuries. So the old gang is back, full form is debatable, but here they are. Episode 20 of the podcast covers the latest on the MLS Off-Season Bonanza with focus on the imminent departure of Seattle Sounders FC Fredy Montero. The 2013 Major League Soccer season schedule has been made public and we yak about that. Crossing over to the Atlantic, we talk about the European cup fixtures that occurred over the week/weekend. Notably this is where Rick  announces that he has given up on the great Fernando Torres Experience. Charlie reflects on Arsenal’s clash with Swansea City in the FA Cup and Ryan talks about everyone’s favorite Uruguayan, Luis Suarez. In Role Playing, we are blessed with appearances of Mario Balotelli, Landon Donovan, Iker Casillas and newly-appointed Toronto FC coach Ryan Nelson. They share their New Year’s resolutions and hopes/ambitions for 2013. In In-Direct Free Kick, Charlie talks about the absurdity of trying to trademark derbies created by supporter’s groups, Ryan throws up some dap to FIFA Women’s Ballon d’Or winner Abby Wambach and Charlie closes the show with a final farewell and thank you to Fredy Montero.

It’s the 20th episode of the podcast, one episode away from being able to legally drink!
