Nemanja Vidic Is A Really Nice Guy
Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic is not only a very good defender, but unlike his teammate Rio Ferdinand, he is also a very nice guy and all around decent human being.
When Vidic was first starting out, he played for Red Star Belgrade where he became best friends with a fellow player named Vladimir Dimitrijevic, who died tragically of a heart attack at the age of 20 back in 2001. Since then, Vladimir’s father fell on some rather tough financial times. Vidic offered to help him out and told him to open a bank account. When Vladimir Dimitrijevic’s father checked the balance, he discovered that there was suddenly €126,000 in the account. Vidic told the elder Dimitrijevic to use that money to buy an apartment in Belgrade, and if he ever needed anything else, Vidic would be there to help.
This is an awesome story, and Vidic is a super nice guy. The end.
