Voices: Introducing Scott Nicholls

A couple days ago, we got an e-mail from a gentleman named Scott Nicholls expressing interest to become a contributor. Residing in the Quaker State (Pennsylvania), Scott runs the blog  From Stamford Bridge To Bethlehem (…Pennsylvania) and describes himself to be the “Ozzie Guillen of soccer.” So I guess we should start up a swear jar.

WHO ARE YA?
Scott Nicholls, former Chelsea season ticket holder, Englishman, occasional contributor to SiriusXm Soccer.

WHERE ARE YOU WRITING FROM?
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

WHO DO YOU SUPPORT?
Chelsea Football Club, Philadelphia Union

WHAT IS YOUR VOICE?
I see the things in other things that other people don’t. I might not be defending Joey Barton, but I’ll slam the FA for giving him a lengthier ban than Luis Suarez got for being a racist. Not a Chelsea homer, I’ve given them plenty of stick from the terraces at Stamford Bridge and I’ll continue to do the same but lads… if you win the Champions League, you deserve it. I will say the things that everybody else is thinking, but too afraid to say!

LIKE YOUR BLOG IS TITLED, YOU WENT FROM STAMFORD BRIDGE TO CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA. HOW DID THAT COME ABOUT? HOW ARE YOU FINDING AMERICAN BEER COMPARED TO BREWS IN ENGLAND/EUROPE?
It’s simple really, I met a girl. I came to Center Valley, PA on an exchange program with my old university, met the girl and the rest is history. I’m very happy…except for the fact I had to give up a Chelsea season ticket to move here. That I’m not so happy about. … Anything tastes better than Fosters and Carling lads, ANYTHING.

Scott @scottnicholls is also a routine contributor to Counter Attack Radio on Sirius 92 XM 207. From Seattle to Houston, and now to Bethlehem, the revolution (or is it a rash?) is growing!
