Voices: Introducing Ivannah Bandalan
When this blog was created, the aim was that it would become a collective of various voices of people who love the game. So in true fashion of gotta crawl before you walk…only to eventually stumble after enough drinks, we sent out some communiques to people we know within our respective football fanatic communities. We inquired if they’d like to get involved in the growth of Cheeky Backheel and wouldn’t you know we have some interested individuals. What we sent out was questionnaire for them to fill out so they could be properly introduced. The point of that was to eliminate that sort of “randomness” in which a new writer just shows up on a blog and such the question is asked, “Where did this person come from?” Here is one of them who will be a contributing voice to the blog, Ivannah Bandalan.

Tough question… I can’t seem to avoid sarcasm in anything I do, especially my writing. While primarily sarcastic, my team loyalties will not waver. In fact, I’m fairly positive that I’m more sarcastic about the teams I support the most. I’m not shy about my soccer obsessions, even if they’re rooted in superficiality. Mostly, I don’t ever want to be the writer who takes stats and numbers too seriously, thus taking the fun out of the sport. So don’t let me become that writer. Ha.
